In the portfolio of products of the winery Drusian, in addition to DOCG sparkling wines, we also find semi-sparkling wines. In particular, the\u00a0Valdobbiadene DOCG Frizzante Ruralia<\/strong>\u00a0with string binding.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\r\n

It is a wine always produced from 100% Glera grapes with an autoclave sparkling process with the Charmat method, but the closure takes place with string placed above the cork and fixed perpendicularly to the neck of the bottle.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\r\n

It’s a type of binding that brings back to the time when the rural tradition provided this closure for semi-sparkling wines, to prevent the cork from yielding to the internal pressure of the bottle.\u00a0Hence the name “Ruralia<\/em><\/strong>“, that the company has chosen to identify the product.<\/p>\r\n

Nowadays, the need to use twine has disappeared as metal cages are available for closing. However, our company has decided to maintain the tradition of string tying because it tells the origins of Prosecco: it’s a symbol of the care we have for this product that starts from the vine, arrives at the packaging, and ends precisely with a handmade binding.<\/p>\r\n

Let’s see together the steps that lead to the realization of Valdobbiadene DOCG Frizzante Ruralia:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. First of all, after fermentation in an autoclave, the semi-sparkling wine is filtered, bottled and closed with a cork;<\/li>\r\n
  2. Immediately after that, the twine is placed manually on top of the cap, placing it on the neck of the bottle;<\/li>\r\n
  3. The employees take the bottle and place it under a specific machine that pulls the two ends of the string, hermetically closing the cap and cutting the excess twine;<\/li>\r\n
  4. Finally, the bottles shall be placed inside the cages until labeling.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
