On Sunday, 4 June 2023, Francesco Drusian went to Venice, precisely at the Salone Nautico, where the awards ceremony of the Italian Microclass Championship took place, the sailing event that was held during those days in Venetian waters, without a few problems due to bad weather.
The Drusian winery was the sponsor of these regattas for the second consecutive year, and Francesco, on this occasion, personally delivered the bottles of his Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Dry sparkling wine to the athletes on the podium. Being present during the day was really a great emotion for him!
The circle of the Diporto Velico Veneziano involved our company in this new experience.
Its history began in March 1950 when a group of sailing enthusiasts gave life to a partnership to promote pleasure sailing and organizing cruises and sailing regattas. Since then, their story continues, first with the water settlement, then with the construction of the new storage shed and the laying of the new walkways that led to the birth of the “Sailing School” in collaboration with the Fondazione Venezia Isola degli Studi.
In 1970, a natural event destroyed all the work done with so much effort, and the following four years, were very intense and essential to be able to rebuild everything from scratch.
Other projects followed one another over time and led, in 2000, to the process of renewal and readjustment that will allow giving at DVV a hopefully definitive structure, both in the water and in the ground space.
Today, the Diporto Velico Veneziano organizes many regattas, and we thank him for giving our reality the opportunity to make our products known during its events.
The Drusian winery also thanks the entire organization for the day of June 4 and congratulates once again all the participating athletes. And as the saying goes: “A calm sea has never made a good sailor!”
